Hella - Stove

Jotain mistä en voi olla tuntematta pientä ylpeyttä!! Kummallista miten sitä voi saada tehdyksi sellaista mitä piti aiemmin ylitsepääsemättömänä. Kuten nyt tämä hella tässä. Olen pitkään tuskaillut ja pähkäillyt, että en saa keittiötä eteenpäin ennenkuin saan sinne hellan. Jotenkin vain ajattelin etten osaa sitä itse tehdä, ja se pitää ostaa, mutta mistään ei löytynyt sopivaa.. Sitten rohkaistuin, googletin ison läjän hellankuvia netistä, ja huomasin ettei tämä nyt ollutkaan niin iso juttu.
Materiaalina on pääosin paksu konepahvi. Tuon kattohärpäkkeen reunuksen tein puurimasta, ja luukun kahvat ja saranat korun osista ja helmistä. Sen verran annoin armoa itselleni, etten tehnyt luukuista avautuvia.
Joku siellä jo jotain paistaa. Ettei vaan olisi myöhäistä, kokin ulkomuodosta päätellen?



Here's something that I can't help but feel a little proud of! It's strange how one can get done what previously was considered insurmountable. Like this stove here. I've been stressing and pondering this stove-thing for a while, because I can't get on with the rest of the kitchen until it's done. Somehow I just thought that I can't do it myself, and it must be purchased, but didn't find anything suitable.. Then, encouraged, I googled a big pile of stove pictures, and I noticed that this was not such a big thing after all.
The material is mainly a thick cardboard. The border around the "roof" is wood. The door handles and hinges are beads and parts of a jewelry. I gave some mercy for myself, and did not do opening shutters.
Someone is already frying something there. Hope it's not too late, judging by the chef's appearance?

Kylppäriremppa - Bathroom Renovation

Tässäpä lupailtu kylppäripostaus. Vielä puuttuu portaat (kun en osaa päättää millaiset haluaisin), ovenkarmit, ikkunalasit/ristikot ja sisustus. Ja jotain varmasti olen myös unohtanut ihan kokonaan.. Seinät tein akvarellipaperista, raaputin laattojen rajat esiin piikillä, maalasin, lakkasin ja raaputin uudelleen. Aivan kamala työ! Käytin "laattojen" loput kahteen pöytään jotka näkyy alimmassa kuvassa. Pöydänkannet on balsaa. Vessanpytyn kansi oli pakko tärvellä ja maalata uudestaan, se oli aivan liian oranssi ja uuden näköinen. Arkkitehti (joka suunnitteli ja kokosi talon..) valmisti huvikseen kylppäriin oven. Pakko sanoa että olen hieman katkera etten ole sitä itse tehnyt. Tosin maalasin sen, ja laitoin lukon ja saranat, niin ei herra arkkitehti voi koko kunniaa asiasta itselleen omia! Yksi tulevista asukkaista testaa jo kylpyammetta. Ilman vettä. Tarvitseeko luita pestä?


Here's the bathroom post I promised. Still missing the stairs (because I can't decide what I want), door frames, window glasses / grilles and interior design. And probably something else that I just completely have forgotten.. Walls are made of watercolor paper, I scratched the tiles with a spike, painted, varnished and scratched again. What a horrible job! I used the remaining "tiles" to make the two tables that are seen in the bottom image. Table tops are balsa-wood. I had to destroy and paint again the toilet bowl lid, it was just too orange, and too new looking. Architect (who designed and assembled the house..) made ​​the bathroom door for fun. I have to say that I'm a little bitter that I haven't done it myself. However, I painted it, and put on the lock and hinges, so Mr. Architect can't take all the credit from it! One of the future residents is testing the bathtub. Without water. Do bones need washing anyway?

Talonpaikka - A Place for A Home

Vihdoin ja viimein sain hankittua sopivan alustan Rotting Roofille! Kaikki nukkistavarat ja vähän muutakin mahtuu kätevästi laatikoihin, talo on mukavalla korkeudella, ja eteinen siistimmän näköinen. Samassa nyt sitten näette talon kokonaisuutena, että pahasti on kesken vielä. Se varsinainen kattokin puuttuu..


Finally Rotting Roof has a proper base!! All the dollhouse related stuff, and some else, fit in the drawers, the house is in nice working height, and our corridor looks tidy. This also shows you the whole house. There's a huge amount of work to be done! Even the rotting roof is still missing..

Keittiön lattia - Kitchen Floor

 Tein keittiöön lattian paksusta vesiväripaperista, maalasin vesiväreillä ja lakkasin huonekalulakalla. Suhteellisen helppoa ja nopeaa! Hieman jäi mietityttämään etttä jäivätkö laatat turhan isoiksi.. Kylppäriäkin olen saanut rempattua aika lailla, täytyy laittaa juttua siitäkin kunhan saan kuvat otettua.


I used thick aquarelle paper for the floor, cut, glued, painted with watercolors and varnished. Relatively easy and quick! I only wonder if I made the tiles too big.. I've made some progress with the bathroom also, and I'll tell you more about it when I get the pictures taken.

Koska en ole edistänyt nukkekotia millään tavalla, päätin esitellä kissamme. Meiltä löytyy kyseisiä rakkaita olioita kolme kappaletta. Merri-ukko, ja kaksi tyttöä, diivaileva Milli ja öisin mouruava Myrtti.
